About CDSE
CDSE is a new and evolving department in the Office of Student Affairs. Our primary mission is to partner with both University and Non-University employers to empower UH Manoa students to engage in career life planning through awareness, exploration, experience, and reflection.

Office Hours and Counter Services
CDSE is open Monday through Friday from 7:45 am - 4:30 pm. We offer counter services to students and employers from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. Unsure whether our office is open, call us at (808) 956-7007. If we don't answer, leave a message with your name, phone number, and a brief message and we will return your call as soon as possible.

Employers from NAVSEA successfully conducted a series of job interviews with students from the University of Hawaii at Manoa via webcam from their offices in California. CDSE plans to allow other non-university employers to conduct interviews over the internet via webcam.

Cooperative Education (Co-op) / Internships
Working in your Major. The Cooperative Education and Internship programs allow you to gain practical real world experience in your major while still in school.
Federal Work Study
Working in the community and university. Federal Work Study is a financial-aid based program that subsidizes a portion of college expenses by offering employment in career or community service positions.
