Information for Students

The Center for Career Development and Student Employment offers a wide variety of programs and services for students and alumni. CDSE programs enhance the University of Hawaii at Manoa (UHM) experience by enabling students/alumni to develop skills in & out of the classroom.

What are your college and career plans?

The first step in figuring out how CDSE can help you is to ask yourself this question. "What is my college plan? What do I want to do for a career?" Have you taken the time to sit down and think about what you want to accomplish by attending the University of Hawaii at Manoa? Do you know what you'd like to do once you graduate?

If you don't know where to start, take a look at the chart we've put together below to see what you can gain by finding employment through CDSE. By finding employment while you're still in college, you'll be preparing yourself for the real world you will face once you graduate.

How do I decide which job program to choose?

Why should we all expect to have the same needs from our jobs? CDSE offers a wide variety of jobs through a number of job programs that allow students with radically different schedules and needs to work and learn from their college jobs. The key to learning which job program is right for you is to take a look at your class schedule, your course workload, your transportation requirements, and your interests. Then go through the sece job board and find a job that meets your needs.
